Belgaum: The new office bearers of the Belgaum Reporters’ Association (Print Media) were unanimously elected without any opposition.
The election took place during a meeting presided over by the outgoing president, Mahesh Vijayapure
The following members were elected:
- Honorary President: Hrishikesh Bahadur Desai
- President: Vilas Joshi
- Vice President: Shrishail Mathad
- Sanjay Suryavanshi was also elected.
As Honorary Advisors:
Keshav Adi, .
Suresh Shanabhag,
and Mahesh Vijayapure were chosen.
- Secretary: Naushad Bijapur
- Joint Secretary: Suresh Nerli
- Treasurer: Ravindra Uppar
Executive Committee Members:
Raju Gavali, Mallikarjun Mugali, Santosh Chinagudi, Keerthi Kasargod, Munna Bhagavan, Manjunath Koligudda, Sunil Patil, Jagdish Viraktamath, Rajasekharayya Hiremath, Vinayak Mathapati, Ravi Gosavi, Ashok Mudannavar, Arun Yallurakar, Ramachandra Sunagar, Rajanikant Yadavad, Imam Goodanavar, Kuntinath Kalamani, Bhairobha Kambale, and Louis Rodrigues were unanimously elected.
During the meeting, discussions were held on preserving our identity in the rapidly evolving media landscape.
Additionally, senior journalist Naushad Bijapur, who was recently honored with the state government’s award for developmental journalism, was felicitated during the event.
The meeting was attended by the newly elected office bearers, including Nagaraj H.V. Hiramani, among others.
