Belagavi City Receives ₹135 Crore Grant Under Citiis-2 Project
Belagavi: In the presence of Shri Manohar Lal, Minister of Urban Development, Government of India, a quadrilateral agreement was signed for a ₹135 crore grant to Belagavi city under the Citiis-2 project.

The agreement was signed by the Commissioner of Belagavi City Corporation and the Managing Director of Smart City. The project was launched in the presence of Shri Sharath, IAS, Managing Director of KUIDFC, Bangalore.

This grant has been allocated exclusively to Belagavi city in Karnataka for the Solid Waste Management (SWM) project. The aim is to make the city’s waste management system more efficient and effective.

The event was attended by Urban Development Ministers from over 10 states, representatives from more than 20 countries, and over 100 IAS officers. During this significant event, Belagavi city was uniquely recognized.
This project is expected to provide a new direction for the city’s sustainable development and environmentally friendly waste management system.
