RCF Lights the Path: 68 Govt School Students Get Tabs, Dreams Get Wings

Foundation Empowers 68 Government School Students with Tabs and Training Tools
MLA Raju Sait, top officials urge students to chase excellence

Belagavi, July 20:
In a significant step towards empowering meritorious students from government high schools, 68 students from the Belagavi educational district were gifted tablet computers and academic kits by the Rajalakshmi Children Foundation (RCF) on Sunday. The event was held at the Foundation’s office in Ayodhyanagar, Belagavi.

Belagavi (North) MLA Asif (Raju) Sait, along with DDPI Leelavati Hiremath, BEO Ravi Bajantri, and others graced the occasion. Among the beneficiaries was Balkrishna Bhimappa Bhajantri, a differently abled high school student from Ramdurg taluk, highlighting the foundation’s inclusive approach.

Under its flagship educational initiative ‘Pratibha Poshak’ (Nurturing Talents), RCF— a not-for-profit NGO— identifies promising students from government schools and supports them through training, mentoring, and academic coaching to pave the way for brighter futures.

Lauding the foundation’s efforts, MLA Raju Sait said, “I take pride in being associated with RCF’s mission to uplift government schools. I urge students to make their parents and Belagavi proud by making the most of this opportunity.” He further added that his goal is to ensure no government school in the district is left without benches or a digital smart classroom.

DDPI Leelavati Hiremath, in her motivational address, encouraged students to dream big. “Keep striving. The sky is the limit,” she said, praising RCF’s mission. BEO Bajantri, too, inspired the students, urging them to look at the nearby institutions housed in the same campus—“Strive to become a bureaucrat or top professional one day,” he said.

Dr. Shashikant Kulgod, offering an overview of the initiative, emphasized the value of the tools and expert guidance provided by the Foundation. Former DDPI M.N. Sindhur noted that RCF’s reach has now extended to 12 districts across North Karnataka, amplifying its impact.

The event also witnessed participation from the Foundation’s directors—Dr. Vijayalaxmi Kulgod, Dr. Sarasija Suresh, and Dr. Kirti Shivakumar—who reaffirmed their commitment to academic empowerment for underprivileged children.
