Car Fraudster Who Betrayed Trust Arrested

Belagavi: Police have arrested Mahesh Jagadish Patil (32) for deceiving the public through fraudulent vehicle transactions. The accused is a resident of Jyotinagar, Kangrali KH, Belagavi.

Mahesh Patil gained the trust of car owners by pretending to borrow their vehicles for temporary use. However, after taking possession of the cars, he failed to return them and switched off his mobile phone. Following complaints, a case was registered at the Market Police Station.

Police Operation:

The Belagavi City Police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners of Police (Law & Order), and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) took the case seriously. A special investigation team was formed under the leadership of Market Police Station Inspector Mahantesh Dhamannavar. PSI Shashikumar S. Kurale, ASI Shankar Shinde, and their team successfully tracked down and arrested the accused.

Police have seized valuables worth a total of ₹21.50 lakh from the accused. Further legal action is being taken.
