Even if the permission is not given, there is a big maha mela’
Belgaum
The anti-karnatska MES has said that they have decided to hold the maha mela on the day of the session, which starts on December 9, even though the police have not given permission.
Former MLA of MES, Manohar Kinekar, made such a bold statement after submitting a memorandum to the deputy commissioner seeking permission for the maha mela.

If the Karnataka government was really concerned about Belgaum and North Karnataka, why it did not hold a session since 1956?
The decision to hold the session in Belagavi was taken after the Maharashtra Unification Committee moved the Supreme Court in 2004 over the boundary dispute. Allow it or leave it. The Mahamela has clarified that it will not stop.
