Revised Rates for Nandini Milk from February 21

Belagavi District Milk Federation President and BJP MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi announced the decision to increase the price of Nandini milk during a meeting addressing the concerns of presidents and secretaries under the Belagavi District Milk Federation in Gokak.

Balachandra Jarkiholi, President of the Belagavi District Milk Federation and BJP MLA, stated that the revised rates for Nandini milk will come into effect from February 21. He addressed the gathering at the Basaveshwar Kalyan Mantap on the outskirts of the city during a meeting of all presidents and secretaries of the Belagavi District Milk Federation on Monday.

Currently, the price of buffalo milk is ₹41.60 per liter. This will be increased by ₹3.40, and with an additional incentive of ₹5, the total price will be ₹50 per liter. Similarly, the price of cow milk, currently ₹29.10 per liter, will be increased by ₹1, and with the ₹5 incentive, the total price will be ₹35 per liter. This revision in Nandini milk prices will benefit both farmers and consumers. Farmers supplying milk to the federation will receive their payments within 10 days, ensuring convenience for both farmers and customers.
Last year, the district milk federation recorded a net profit of ₹68 lakh. This year, the annual turnover target is set at ₹400 crore. Efforts are underway to achieve a profit of ₹5 crore by the end of March. The federation currently handles a monthly turnover of ₹42 crore. The profits earned by the federation will be reinvested to benefit farmers and staff. Salaries of employees serving in the societies will be revised, and grants will be provided for the management of the societies.

Mega Dairy to be Established Soon in Belagavi
A mega dairy will soon be established in Belagavi. The dairy will require a daily collection of 3.5 to 4 lakh liters of milk, which will significantly benefit farmers in the region. The Belagavi District Milk Federation aims to become the number one milk federation in North Karnataka. Farmers supplying milk will receive better prices. The administrative board has undergone changes, and if this progress continues, farmers can expect further price increases. Balachandra Jarkiholi urged the societies to inform farmers about the price hike.
The meeting was attended by federation directors including Babu Katti, Mallappa Patil, Kallappa Girennavar, Basavaraj Parannavar, Baburao Vaghamode, Virupaksha Eeti, Rayappa Dug, Prakash Amboji, Mahadev Bilikuri, Sanjay Shintre, Ramesh Annigeri, Sadeppa Vari, Shankar Itnal, Savita Khanappagol, Sadashiv Deshinge, Ravindra Patil, Rajiv Kuler, J. Jaikumar, Krishna Kyur, Managing Director Dr. V.N. Shrikant, and other officials.
