In a significant step towards a people-friendly policing approach, Belagavi Police Commissioner Bhushan Borase declared, “No matter where you reside, you can file a complaint at any police station. There is no question of refusal.”

Speaking at a media interaction organized by the Belagavi Press Club, he said, “There are times when inspectors may be absent, but we ensure that there is no delay in registering complaints.”
Station Modernization – Towards Humane Policing
Police stations are being modernized with complaint sections, women’s help desks, and improved seating arrangements.
“A police station should not instill fear – it should inspire trust. A two-way relationship between the police and the public is essential,” he said.
Cybercrime and Drug Trade Under Watch

Strong measures have been implemented to curb cybercrime and the sale of marijuana. “We have a special team to track down drug mafia networks. Awareness is being created among students,” he added.
Traffic Issues – Modern Solutions
Measures include issuing violation notices door-to-door, fine payment facilities at Belagavi One centers, installation of 460 barricades, and identification of black spots.
