in a journalist’s life, one gets to see many faces, many platforms, and also gets opportunities to meet many distinguished personalities. But only a few meetings leave a permanent imprint on the heart. Today turned out to be one such rare and unforgettable page in memory.
At the “Vasantha Ruthugaana Kalayaana” programme organized in Hubballi by Samyukta Karnataka and the Trust Committee of Siddharoodha Math, the moment I met High Court Justice Shrishananda truly touched my heart as a unique experience.

His personality itself seemed to stand as proof of how gentle humanity can exist within the seriousness of the judicial seat. Though he holds a high position, there was no trace of arrogance in his conduct, no harshness in his speech, a pleasant smile on his face, and a glow of culture and values in his personality — all these made him stand apart. He is a very simple man.
I had heard about him many times before. I had listened to his speeches several times on YouTube. I knew the weight and depth of his words. But the moment I saw him closely today, I realized that true greatness does not lie in position; it lies in a person’s simplicity, courtesy, and the dignity of their conduct. In Justice Shrishananda, I felt I saw a beautiful confluence of those values.

While the “Vasantha Ruthugaana Kalayaana” programme itself felt like a cultural festival, his presence added a special grace to the occasion. It felt like a moment where art, culture, values, and humanity all came together on one stage.
As a journalist, I have written many news reports and covered many events. But some moments become greater than news itself. They turn into experiences. They become memories. Today’s meeting with Justice Shrishananda was, for me, one such memorable experience.
Some meetings end with a handshake.
Some others quietly settle in the heart.
Today’s meeting was, for me, one such precious moment.
